^ That was rather run-on ish. A slight error, but then again, spelling and grammar are both looked at as a judging criteria in formal battles.
And don't be afraid to criticize me either if you notice anything. I'm by no means perfect, and it'll all help in the long run.))

Slightly slow response time...
The weapon that Triste drew out was rather interesting, but she had no time to be analyzing that now. She did however noted that he was using it as a dagger, and intended to make full use of her dual weapons.
With a quick snap of her left hand, she unfurled the fan in that hand. Using the straight edge of the fan (left side), she attempted to move the stake up, slightly to the left- a strategy that would negate his attack and leave him open. Should she fail in doing that, the fan would provide adequate protection as a shield anyways.
With that in check, she then lunged forward to take a stab right at his abdomin with the unfurled fan in her right hand.
