*Az had tilted her head to the side to see what she could as Red Angel picked her up and flew into the air. Admittedy banking and flying around the top of the mountain was little nauseating, but it was still a pretty good view*

*Long ago the human had found fire was her friend, and she'd actually felt safe as two creatures on this trip used it. One, Embri, was permanently on fire. And if this place was a volcano, so much the better. Az's eyes rolled into the back of her head of their own accord as she mumbled something about fire keeping the dark away*

*She snapped out of it quickly however, and talked more reasonably*

How much longer?

Alec suggests to the group "We walk downhill, on following the treeline to the right, we should hopefully be in the clear once we get there. If I should become, overcome by the gasses, just carry on that course, the more of us that make it safely, the more of a chance we can come back and rescue stragglers..."

After he'd finished, the lioness had balanced on his shoulders and licked his face. He wasn't at all shocked by the animals actions, he tended to have an affinity with creatures, just something in his genetics allowed creatures to remain unafraid of him.

Answering Embri quietly, "There are volcanic gasses. But, there are at least two other gasses riding the breeze. I think one may be coming from the direction of the plane the pikachu is suggesting. But there's another unidentified one. I can't find its location, it seems to be, naturally occuring. Because of the mixture of the gasses, they're spreading through all levels and conistently rising and falling..."

He looks over at Blackfoot, who appears to be quite injured, "I could, store him for the majority of the journey, as well as you...?" He reaches over a storage ball and holds it up for Embri to see, "They accuratly recreate the most suitable environment for its inhabitants, and will provide healing..."

((*smacks GBE over the back of the head* thats tigress, ba'kka... [/jk]))

*Angel is mildly supprised to hear Az's voice, she has been listening in to Embri's ears for a while,*

not much further, see there? the tree line? i'll drop you off by that big boulder then go back to the group. since i can get above the majorty of the fumes i might be able to get the worst affected out before they get permanent brain damage,

*she grins and begins to bank again, sidesliping down to the huge lump of granite on the tree line. she pulls up a few yards away and rights herself before flaping to a gentle touchdown. she sets Az on her feet but dosent let go just yet, to make sure she dosent fall down again.*

you'll be ok on you own for a bit, right?

Embri fights down the immediate urge to snarl and bite. Instead, she pins back her ears in the equine version of extreme anger or fear. "I think not. I would rather die than be captive in a cage."

"Let's get moving." The mare gets Blackfoot on his feet, good arm slung across her back. A random saying floats through her head. The gods help those who help themselves...

Pointing her nose towards the safe location Alec and Angel seem to have chosen, Embri begins the long task of slogging through the jungle like terrain.

((Uh, GBE... We're far below the treeline. So we'd have to walk up-hill to get to it...))

((Actually, we're already uphill, in a small clearing surrounded by trees... However, as the descent downhill begins, trees will become more spread apart, therefore providing a treeline of sorts (a treeline is where a forest or jungle starts to begin with trees growing closer together...).

Thus, heading for the treeline will bring the group into a consistent opening...

((Really? I thought the treeline was the altitude where trees can't grow above...))

((it can be either way around, this is a place connected to pshycopathia after all Razz
the tree line, if you want to be scientific about it, could just be from a patch of dryer terrain lower down the slopes or the wrong kind of soil, it dosent have to be from altitude. in other words, chill out every one Very Happy))

((Alright, alright...

... I feel guilty for making such short posts...)) Kazumaru follows the group, though he occasionally stops to pick something off the ground or climb a tree. He thought he felt the ground rumble a little, tiny bit and whimpered quietly, now staying closer to Embri...

Melody silently followed the group. She didn't pay much attention to what was around her, as she was preoccupied with her sudden inability to teleport.

((Shiny pretty medal Very Happy ))

Coolpikaaa was thinking as the group moved along,if they would ever find a suitible shelter. One that didn't always drip moisture like in this strange land.
Suddenly,a small beeping sound that the other group members didn't look like they noticed, snapped him out of his thoughts.Seeing a small glint of metal from a nearby bush,he quietly moved over and plucked it out.He now was sure it was the prototype he had been working on.Almost totally upgraded by the pikachu,it had been feared lost in the flood. But now he had it back...

Kazumaru poked Embri in the backside "Horseyy..." he said, still not quite right in the head.

((Blame Society.))

((*is suddenly back from his amazing journey with the Goddess of Illusion, which wasn't really all that amazing*))

3kul, in the other thread on Genkaku, wrote:
Genkaku was touched that the almighty Paranesia had such a benevolent side and began to try and thing of a way to work such a quality into one of her many many titles as he followed her.

She was walking at a fairly brisk pace, Genkaku thought to himself as he bumped into the desk that the Goddess had just leapt over, a little surprised that he hadn't noticed it. He hadn't really noticed it until now, but Paranesia's movements were quite stealthy - it took a lot of concentration to follow her. Walking right through a bookcase, assuming that it was a doorway of some sort, he continued to follow the Goddess.

He wasn't really paying much attention to his surroundings, which was a little unusual for him, but he trusted Paranesia not to lead him into a pit full of snakes or a pit full of lava or any other kind of bad pit (good pits were ok, but he couldn't really think of any at the moment). The disturbingly strong smell of burnt wood and rotting flesh tore through his nostrils however, and was impossible to ignore. Just where the hell was Paranesia leading him?

After listening to what she had to say, Genkaku nodded. "Thank you very much, almighty Paranesia, I am most appreciative of this chance to find my precious Entrails. I will do my best to not keep you waiting too long." And with that he was off, dashing into the wilderness to go looking for his dead fox.

Moments after he left what may seem to be Paranesia's range of sight, he tripped over a log and tumbled down a very painful slope, rolling over all manner of sticks and rocks, before flopping upright against a broken tree. Much to Genkaku's dismay, he realized far too late that he'd forgotten to change out of his temple gear, and the previously spotless white robes were now torn and dirty in various places. He waved a giant arm across his body, sighing as his older grey clothes reappeared - he had no idea where the nearest laundromat was, but he had a feeling that it'd be a while before he'd find one, so for now he may as well go with these.

The only thing that was different about his older clothes was that the large silver fox badge was still present on his chest - usually he made it disappear, but if he wanted to find Entrails he'd need it. He'd forgotten that he'd worked out a foolproof method for finding the dead fox, though since he remembered it now he wasn't too upset by that fact.

Taking the badge off, he tapped it gently against a rock. Oddly enough, the badge vibrated a little when he did this, emitting a faint and eerie chiming noise as it did so. The chiming noise echoed throughout the forest around him, though he didn't quite seem to be listening to it - rather, he was listening for a different noise in response to this. Soon enough he got back up, and quickly bounded off in what an onlooker could only assume was the right direction. Continuing down the hill as he searched for his dearly departed companion, he stuck the badge back onto his clothing, which promptly faded away.

((Sorry if it seems like I'm interrupting your current story, I'll try not to if you don't want me to. It's just that Shaon whisked Genkaku away from here before he could find Entrails, so I needed to come back to find her Razz.))

A man in a green cloak, lying in the path, groans as he hacks up a lungful of chocolate milk and rubs a bump his head.
" Thank you, my Goddess, for protecting me."
He swallowed some of the milk, its unfamiliar taste surprisingly pleasant to his inexperience.
"Carob milk? Now I've seen it all."
Slowly, he sat up.
"I'm doing alright then. No bleeding, no other swelling, I can move fine. This headache could be worse. This is good."
Reaching inside his pouch, he produced a pair of wrapped leafy bundles, the size of a small pebble. Placing the two medicines in his mouth, he chewed slowly, letting the numbing feeling flow throughout his jaw as the anagelisic did its work.
"Now, where am I?"
