Just as the title states. I'M BORED. So. Frigging. Bored.
It'll be a month before the next Fullmetal chapter is released. The Naruto manga is confusing... I look for the episodes on YouTube, but they're all spoof crap that makes fun of the series. Death Note bores me now. (Sorry Shaon!) Chobits gets cheesy. I finish checking and posting on roleplay sites within fifteen minutes ( I type fast.) and the posts usually end up crap. I never finish my stories. My comic is taking a helluva bunch of work to do (Damn unique universes! AND WHY CAN'T I DRAW WEAPONS?!) so it ends up being annoying.
So... Anybody got know an anime/manga I can read/watch so I don't die here? My brain is slowly melting away.... _________________ Don't blink. Don't sleep. Monsters are falling from the sky. |

This is about as close to spam as you can get without actually being useless.
Panther, do what I do. Get out there and live your life. Stop spending all your life in front of the computer! The internet might be cool, but you can still get a kick out of real life.
If you already do that, and are simply filling your spare time, might I suggest a nice First Person Shooter? _________________ ~Goron~

It wasn't meant to be spam. I was just hoping someone could give me advice on how to fill my time. Sorry...
Er, I've never really liked FPS that much. Too bloody. *says the girl who watches splatter horror anime* _________________ Don't blink. Don't sleep. Monsters are falling from the sky. |

In responce to Goron's comment: Hey, it's general chat for a reason. You've gotta have something to watch on a rainy day. Hell, I'd watch TV on a sunny day . Not everyone has a computer capable of playing First Person Shooters, and even then some parents don't allow it. At least this thread is a good place to see what everyone else watches.
Well... *Is stuck between admitting he watches cartoons or avoiding the inevitable teasing by his fellow council-members*
I've seen some good pseudo-anime come out of France. The dubbing isn't always very good (Skyland is HORRIBLE. Utterly, fantastically awesome, but HORRIBLE), but I've seen some good concepts as well. I saw one earlier today called Code Lyoko. Trademark horrible theme tune, and it lacks an ongoing plot (at least from what I can tell), but the concept seems pretty interesting.
One Piece has the world's suckiest theme song (which is incredibly hard in terms of Anime), but I've heard good things about it. Ghost in the Shell is supposed to be very philosophical, but I just like watching all they pretty lights . .Hack//sign is pretty good, as are presumably the rest of the .Hack series. Avatar's worth a try,I havn't watched enough of it to tell.
When in doubt, there's good 'ole American comedy. Futurama, Family Guy, et cetera. Made in America, drawn in Korea and god only knows where the scripts are from, they're generally worth a few laughs.
There are a few good online comics worth looking at. Concerned is a paraody of Half-life 2, and Megatokyo's good too. I used to read a small webcomic called Ransom, but I've lost interest in it. It might be NSFW, I havn't bothered to check . Mecha Soup is Awesome with a capital A. http://www.mechasoup.com/index.php?date=2005-12-23. See what I mean?
If all else fails, Google something mildly interesting and see what comes up. It's a good way to spend an hour or two if you've got nothing better to do.
EDIT: *Winces at TROT's collection.*
((The full title was Megaman NT Warrior, BTW. (Holy crap Megaman runs Windows. Well, that explains the blue ).)) _________________
Bah, Give me 2 days and a load of napalm...
For full brain exploding enjoyment, I suggest Neon Genesis Evangelon, both the anime and the manga. It has giant robot fights, which is always the win, doesn't make much sense half the time, and what is explained will make your brain hurt. BAD. _________________

Code Lyoko is good, and Netdriod. Fear the monsoon of several shows/movies that I'm starting to remember!
*Dumbs hundreds (or thousands) of different T.V. shows. Some are Danny Phantom, Sponge Bob Square Pants, Ed, Edd n Eddy, Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Life and Times of Juniper Lee, Ben 10, Camp Lazlo, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Squirrel Boy, Xiaolin Showdown, Code Name: KND, Samurai Jack, Transformers Robots in Disguise, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Cow and Chicken, Dexter's Laboratory, Fairy Odd parents, Evil Cone Carne, My Gym Partner's a Monkey, Team Galaxy.... the list goes on and on.* _________________

Now what's really scary is that I've seen all of the shows mentioned in this thread. Dun dun duuuuuun!
@Net: Code Lyoko was awesome until the second season, when some other sompany bought the rights and made it crappy. Too much wordy drama. (I mean, c'mon! Binary flood at the last second? Destroying the ice sector? Puh-leeze! )
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: 4Kids RUINED ONE PIECE. I can't even begin to name all teh crap they did. (Like why the hell did they turn all the guns green?!) The Japanese opening is better. Same with German, Italian, and every country except America. D:<
The VGCat's author's opinion on the conversion is funny, and sums it up well. With blood. Poor, poor Luffy...
Avatar is most certainly good. Watch it, or I'll eat your soul. *licks lips*
I've watched .hack// before... A really old one back in, like, 2004.
@TROT: I want to marry you and have your babies. *drags Trot away into the unknown* _________________ Don't blink. Don't sleep. Monsters are falling from the sky. |

There have been a few good films out recently, Saw 3 is sickly sweet, Borat is the best comedy film I've seen this year, and Tenacious D is shaping up to be this generation's Bill And Ted. Of course, if you are too young to go and see any of these films, I'm sure there is some sort of CG film doing the rounds at the moment. I like the cinema, maybe because I live so close to one I could probably leap out of my window and land on it.
If you play PC or PS2 games I'm sure I might be able to recommend some, just tell me what kind of games you like (except Creatures). _________________ I like big cookies and I cannot lie,

Addman, Saw 3 was pretty bad I thought. Not as good as the previous ones.
I saw James Bond at the cinema a few days ago and it was really good. I found it to be a little long but my fellow cinema viewers didn't. It wasn't long in the sense that it got boring though, I just can't sit in one place for more than a couple of hours. Watching lord of the rings in one viewing is hard for me.
Hopefully I shall be seeing Tenacious D at the weekend! I've seen many a trailer for it and I am happy to report a demon will make an appearance as well as a powerslide by the one and only JB.
Onto games. I haven't played that many recently, just going out is difficult for me nowadays with all the work piling on. It's a relief that everyone seems to have done just as much work as me though. Why not try the full command and conquer boxset. Bought that a few months back and there's a hell of a lot of playing time involved. Failing that you could play Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, or even Neverwinter Nights. _________________

This site has some rather addictive games. I personly like the queens jewels and the princess tiara, but it's not up to me what you play.
Hope you find a new obbsesion, Panthar. _________________

For the same reason that the dubbed Sanji prefers the smooth flavour of a lollipop as opposed to his usual cigarette - they figured that it was much more profitable to market it towards a younger audience.
Personally I'm not really of the stubborn "all dubs are bad" mindset, as I've seen a few series where I haven't hated the english dubbing. Even looking at One Piece I can see a few things that I don't hate, like whoever's doing the voices of Zolo and Usopp seem to do pretty well. *suddenly millions of anime fans descend upon 3kul and gut him like a fish*

Hm? My first sentance? From where?
ANYWAYS, on to the exceedingly long and no doubt depressingly nerdish list of manga that 3kul reads:
Manga:
* Air Gear (Action, Comedy, Ecchi, Extreme Sport)
* Black God (Action, Fantasy, Supernatural)
* Black Cat (Action, Comedy, Shounen)
* Bleach (Action, Comedy, Shounen, Supernatural)
* Chobits (Ecchi, Romance)
* D. Gray-man (Action, Fantasy, Shounen, Supernatural)
* Death Note (Drama, Mystery, Psychological, Shounen, Supernatural)
* DearS (Comedy, Ecchi, Sci Fi)
* Genzou Hitogawa Kiwa (+)
* Girl Saurus (Comedy, Ecchi, Mature, School Life)
* Golden Boy (Adult, Comedy, Ecchi, Mature)
* Hayate the Combat Butler (Comedy, Shounen)
* Ichigo 100% (Comedy, Ecchi, Romance, Shounen)
* Inu Neko Jump (Comedy, Ecchi, Romance, Sport)
* IO (Comedy, Ecchi, Mystery, Romance, Supernatural)
* Koi Koi 7 (Comedy, Ecchi, School Life, Sci Fi)
* Love & Collage (aka Ai Kora, Comedy, Ecchi, Romance, School Life)
* Love Hina
* Mahou Sensei Negima (Comedy, Ecchi, Fantasy, School Life)
* Midori Days (aka Midori no Hibi, Comedy, Romance, School Life, Shounen)
* Mieru Hito (Adventure, Supernatural)
* Nagasarete Airantou (Comedy, Ecchi)
* Naruto (Action, Adventure, Comedy, Fantasy, Shounen)
* One Piece (Action, Adventure, Comedy, Fantasy, Shounen)
* Open Seasame (Comedy, Romance, Shounen)
* Pretty Face (Comedy, Ecchi, Gender Bender)
* Seto no Hanayome (Comedy, Romance)
* Shaman King (Action, Shounen, Supernatural)
* Soul Eater (Action, Comedy, Ecchi, Shounen)
* Tende Freeze (Comedy, Ecchi, Supernatural)
* Tenjou Tenge (Action, Adult, Comedy, Ecchi, Mature, Seinen, Supernatural)
* Tona-Gura (Comedy, Ecchi, Romance)
There are more, but those are the ones that I check for regularily (though some of these have finished too). The categories that they fit into are just the ones from mangaupdates.com, because I couldn't be bothered trying to describe them all individually, and I also linked them all to descriptive sites just to save myself (and you lot) from masses of reading if you don't want to know. (+) Genzou Hitogawa Kiwa was the only series that I read that I couldn't find any site to explain what it was, which is a pity because I really like it (and I need to find the last chapters...). It's hard to describe what it's all about (mostly about the puppet master Genzou and his adventures), but it's worth a read if you can ever find it - not for younger children though, as there's a bit of gore and nudity in it.
The list of anime that I watch is much shorter, and probably pretty similar to what you watch anyways Panther. I used to watch Naruto and Bleach, but have mostly left them for dead during the fillers. One thing I'm now watching religiously is One Piece (the Japanese version, obviously), as they're finally up to a ridiculously awesome part of the storyline, where Luffy and Co. take on the CP9 (here's a little sample of what you can expect in upcoming episodes - Luffy vs Blueno, who happens to be the weakest member of the CP9). I'll sometimes watch Keroro Gunsou for a laugh as that's always hilarious, or there's a few series from manga that I've read that I'll check out (Negima!?, Death Note, D. Gray-Man). Gun X Sword is pretty cool, I'm currently just watching that as it comes out on DVD though. I recently bought myself the box set of FLCL, which is really awesome, and I also have Samurai Champloo on DVD, another great one to watch. But again, I'm fairly sure that you'd have watched some or most of these. If you haven't seen it, 2x2 Shinobuden is also really funny, and I believe it's up for release in America soon too.
If you're looking for something that's not from Japan, I'm with Net - Futurama, Family Guy and also American Dad are pretty much fuelled by hilarity and awesomeness. *checks back over his post* I could probably go on, but I think that's enough from me for now, I'll stop this post now whilst it only has several dozen links in it . _________________ If I'm not here, I'm probably over at...
