Blackstar Warp Exploratory Corps

((Yes, this is a brand new rp, and hopefully, with a little success it'll be a continuos one. It'll be done in episodes so to speak, so that there's always an adventure of somesort.

Now I've pmed DP who has given the go-ahead for this storyline.

The basic is a cross between the Psychotopian Warp Exploratory Corps, Stargate and Sliders the way I'm setting this storyline up.

The basic plot idea is that Blackstar needs more trade and more living space. Not to mention the fact that a few artefacts have been found that have alerted them to other systems that once upon a time visited Blackstar for one reason or another.

It is your mission and your duty to go through the warp and explore these new worlds. You are in teams of four. Your priority, to learn, trade and get back safely. Should any danger occur, defend and then engage if necessary, but don't get too wrapped up in the politics of another planet lest ye be slayed there.

Those who are interested, just post here, since the first post will be a roll-call so to speak. I've already got a few plot-lines lined up with appropriate badness to be encountered, provided by some other members of Blackstar, if you wish to develop a story for your group, please pm me beforehand!

I am running this rp, so any problems will be dealt via me, and then any other mods (hopefully though, there won't be ). Teams of four have been assigned, so that the best can be gained from each group, and that there's plenty for everyone to do if other groups are slow at moving.

If you wish to use your regular characters, this roleplay can run on a separate timeline to any other events in Blackstar. However, if you want to create a new character, or use one that you haven't used regularly, we can run this alongside other events in Blackstar.

Only one character per person, per group, that way everyone gets a fair chance. Also, once groups are given, each reply needs a title, with the group you've been assigned too. Hopefully, this isn't too complicated a post.

As a bonus, this roleplay might well work in your favours in getting you to move up belt ranks if you meet required targets in this thread. Now, on with the show:))

Several platforms have been set up for the new recruits of Blackstars finest, the Blackstar Warp Exploratory Corps, BWEC for short. A Blackstar flag flutters atop a pole, signfying the alliegance.

A man, appointed by DP to oversee the groups and their missions, and to review their mission logs stands there, waiting for his recruits to fall in. Te nearby facility, and the associated barracks loom in view, with the BWEC monicker clearly visible on a large sign in the courtyard.

The man looks at his watch, and just as the hands line up over 10am, he waves his finger once in the air just at the same time as several alarms ring out loud. It's time for all recruits to suit up, line up and be ready for roll-call.

He stands arms behind his back, chin pointed slightly upwards, eyes narrowed, waiting for everyone to come fully attired and equiped with mandatory issued weaponry. Every recruit gets a portable warp device complete with limited shiled. One rifle. One side-arm. One large knife. A drinks canteen. Basic survival equipment. And one device to recored data, share data and take scans.

Every recruit will wear the basic uniform, a black Combat suit with green and brown markings and a BWEC monicker on the left side of their chest and on both shoulders. Black boots, a helmet and gloves.

Monica joined the line and stood at attention. She took a moment to glance down at her uniform and equipment.

~Well, I suppose I've seen worse...~

She remained standing on the spot, waiting for the others to arrive.

Coolpikaaa stood in line.

They couldn't find a uniform that would fit and allow him to more so he wore what he wore everywhere.

Nothing.

Leporidae was determined to join this group. She hadn't gone on any adventures latley and wanted to go on one so badly. Also, she hopped to claim some planets in the name of the EC and create a hint of chaos. Grabbing (The last?) Unifrom, she suited herself into it. Unfortainitly, he ears fit uncomfortly into the helment and her wings are stuck onto her back. But hey, it was eather this or back to her old home. As Lep grabbed the last wepond that she needed equiped, she spoke. "I'm ready. Let's go."

*A human walked up to the clothes rack, frowning. He did a few more warm ups, then approached Leporidae.* "Hello, my name is Max. Can you tell me were the spare uniforms and supplies are located?

((Time for a little used character of mine. Meet Tina ))

Tina had lined up near Monica, the suit assigned fit her wing arms rather uncomfortably, so she she'd made a long tear down them. Having your wings crushed from the sides hurt immensely.

The escaped experiment stood upright, her snake-like tail, which had also needed a tear in the trousers swishing back and forth. Though it wasn't her wing-arms or her tail that were the most striking things about her appearance. Tina had large, bat like ears that stood atop her head, and to either side of them was the closed hood of a cobra.

As Tina stood awaiting instructions, the experiment turned and glanced at Monica.

"Ssso, what'sss your reason for coming here?"

Az rushed over to the rack, dark hair flying out behind the human and eyes looking insane.

"Damn, I'm late"

She commented, though she'd somehow managed to pick up all the equipment but the uniform on her way over. Az hoped one of these explorations might lead to her homeworld, as she'd travelled through at least three different dimensions as it was.

"Are there any uniforms left?"

((Good, Goron's doing Monica...I figured her service in the Psychotopian Warp Exploratory Corp would put her on the top of the list of recruits. Plus she already has a uniform, full armband (which can do scanning, if neccesary), and a *small* arsenal of weapontry in zero-space pockets))

Whiteoak and Obed hurry over to their platform, their uniforms fitting a bit too snugly over their "concealed " body armor, and the outlines of one of their hand-held devices protuding from their waists where it is clipped on the waist band of their under garments.

(If you are issueing us weaponry etc, does that mean that we are not supposed to have our other weapons? If we are allowed them, Whiteoak would, of course, have his staff, and Obed his pistol set, as well.))

((Hmm. Obviously I've missed a few things. I'll allow personal weaponry, providing you're not planning going on a gigantic saviour-spree/blood-letting spree!

If something doesn't fall in-line with certain objectives, I'll let you know. And btw, all recruits would have come from the barracks, so, a little powerplaying on my behalf, and tadaa! You're all suitably equipped!

Goron, I haven't made any groups yet, this is where groups will be assigned. And for those worried about things moving too fast to keep up with, I'm fairly sure things will develop at a fair and even pace.

Shaon, there's a host of surprises for people to appear, not just 3kul *watches 3kul in the background being praised *

So, hopefully, we'll be seeing his 3kulishness around here at some point, amongst a host of others.))

Klaine stands in line, his suit rather large to accomadate his rather large physique. Looking at the other recruits, he recognizes Tina, but remains silent, respecting the authority at hand.

The Commander In Chief stares at the recruits, "SILENCE! YOU WILL FALL IN LINE QUIETLY!. You know why you have been recruited. You will perform your duties without question. Keep diplomatic relationships as open as possible. And, do not incite war. The last thing we need is inter-warp war. The teams assigned for mission one are as follows:

Team one: Team Leader, Monica. Officers Leporidae, Obed and Max.

Team two: Team Leader, Whiteoak. Officers Klaine, Coolpika, Azaria and Tina.

You have the next few minutes to get to know your teams, before your missions begin." With that he walks over to a nearby tent, the 'doors' wide open for him to see everything developing.

Monica waited until the officer had entered the tent, then relaxed. She had no idea who the hell her teammates were, but seeing as she was the team leader she figured this would be a good thing to learn. Looking around at the recruits, she noted what a... diverse group they were.

"Team one, front and center."

[Leporidae]

Leporidae sighed to herself. ~This suit is extreamly annoying. I'll have to tear it later so my ears, wings, and tail won't be in pain anymore.~ Regardless, she obeyed and wen't into line ~This is alot like the military. I hope this can be over with soon~

Banshee& Alexis glanced around. Their uniform had to be modified slightly, because of the fact they had two heads and a really strange neck. After a brief arguement the warp band had been put on around the main brach of their neck-the main part just before their neck splits off in the two directions- because that way both arms could reach it insted of just one.

They also had a gun each and had to have an extra helmet then evrybody else. At least they didn't need extra boots, drinks canteen or gloves, since they only had 2 feet, 2 hands and shared their internal organs.

People had started calling them alphabet because of their other nickname, A&B. They were some of the strangest recruits, and weren't sure if they counted as two people or one, but knew they couldn't go into seperate groups without some serious surgary first.

Whiteoak calls to his team members:

Heads up team two! Gather 'round over here. I'll read you bios (profiles) when I get a chance, but for now, I want from each of you a quick sampling of your offensive and defensive capabilities, your intell capabilities, and a significant past experience relevant to this style of mission. Don't get me wrong, I'm not really interested in your life story just now, I want to know how well you can relay important information in a concise and accurate way. For example: I'm Whiteoak, a techno-mage woodnorn, adept at elemental magic, and laser/particle beam weaponry. Empath and telepath, with a full spectrum analysing handheld sensor, and, I fought a "Predator" and lived to tell about it, and teamed up with the Evil Angel, to save the world from a crashing moon.. Who is next?

Obed, the black, winged, sphynx lion padded softly over towards Monica, and just as he was arriving, he morphed into his bi-ped form (with hands,) and stood his full 7+ feet tall, solid muscles, deep black skin tones, lengthy dreadlocks for a mane, and sparkling intelligent eyes. he extended a hand/paw to Monica, and said " I don't believe we've met, I am Obed, the Lion of Judah, at your service, ma'am."
