People of the Dojo!

It has come to my attention that RP was actually done *differently* in the past! After reading some old RPs on A2K I realized we have become something quite different that what was done before. So I propose this challenge of sorts. An RP in the old style!

We all know what Creatures is I presume?

On a lab far away in space, danger lights flash. A few Norns slide here and there, followed by their critters and toys as the artificial gravity fluctuates.

"Warning! Warning! Quarentine in effect! *bzzt* Lockdown in effect! *bzzt* Intruder alert in effect! *bzzt* System Test in effect! *bzzt* Disgruntled employee alert in effect! *bzzt* Missing person in effect!"

Apparently the main computer can't make up it's mind as to what exactly is going on. It appears it is now up to the creatures of the vessel to get to the bridge and sort things out...

Some guidelines...

1. Spice it up! Why not make a character just for this RP? The form should only take a minute and we get to see more of your creative side. However if you just can't get it out, premade characters aren't banned.

2. Why not use a Norn/Ettin/Grendel? Most of us started out this way! The reason I didn't put this on the Norn Gardens is because it would probably be overlooked way down at the bottom of the forum. Once again, you can try, but any species is welcome.

3. Have fun! This is in no means a serious RP. Do noobish stuff! Relax a bit!

4. Be smart. Follow rule 3 but don't go overboard! The rules of the Dojo still apply.

That should sum it up. I hope how this little expirement turns out.

Abilities: She can morph her arms into various shapes. Keeping them that way takes up energy that's in proportion to what she changed them into.

"Doom!" She snarled before she began to flail wilding in the vein hope this would actually do something useful and not just waste energy.

Belial walks over into the jungle Biodome of the ship and grips the Punchgun holsterd to his side. Indeed, he looks over to a strange Idol and bows, Holding his staff out infront of him. This world is going to fall. That much is clear. What he didnt know is what, when, or how it would happen. Part of the question of "When" seems to be answerd: Soon.

Suddenly, A random gang of Grendel bandits pop out from the flora. Before they can Ransack Belial for... Whatever, He pulls out his punchgun and gives eatch of them a severe concussion by the means of hitting them in the face with the gun.

The Idol's eyes light up and an arrow is revealed on the ground. Belial looks at the arrow: It is pointing roughly to the direction to the bridge of the ship. He walks foward to there, Punchgun firmly in hand...

Name: Ripper (Heh, this brings back memories.)
Looks: Looks just like a Boney Grendel, but with a grey color scheme, rather then green.
Species: Boney Grendel
Starter item: None. (I figured my abilities were too powerful, so I balanced it by making Ripper not having hands suited to moving objects around, or even using them.)
Abilities: Very very athletic. Likes jumping around and is much stronger then most other creatures. Can hang onto walls and ceilings, Xenomorph style. Walks on four legs, and has no hands. Cannot use technology.

Ripper was leaping around when the gravity cut off. He was flung through the air by his own momentum. He locked his legs and hit the other wall of the Grendel Terrarium. (This may not be the Shee Starship, but it should need terrariums suited to the different races. If not, tell me and I'll change my post accordingly.)

After a few minutes, he was an expert at flying around the room, bouncing from wall to wall, and when the gravity came back, he fell to the ground, landing on all fours. Due to a glitch with the alarms, the door to the corridor opened. Ripper couldn't open that door by himself, and so he leaped out, anxious to explore someplace new.

The BoneyGaia (JR!) walked along the hall, occasionally lifting into the air as gravity fluxed back and forth. Eventually he came to Ssod and watched as the very different looking creature struggled in the lack of gravity.

"Maybe approach self Ssod." The splice said, obviously not as smart as he looked. Suddenly a very large explosion rocked the ship, blowing out most of the lights. The towering mass of machine ran like a frightened child, hiding in the corner.

Closer to Belial, the cause was much clearer. Something had entered the ship, and caused enough of a disturbance to blow out half a wall. A sudden drop in air wasn't the only problem, as the sucking force of explosive decompression was felt all the way to Ripper.

However, emergency lights had been triggered by the explosion, illuminating the way to the bridge. Hopefully answers would be there...

Abilities: Gravitation Manipulation: Merk can increase or decrease the gravity around him. Small objects' (such as carrots, rubber balls, ect.) altered gravity may last about five minutes before slowly returning to its normal gravity. Heavier objects require concentration to keep the new gravity. Also, the heavier the object, the faster it will regain its original gravity after Merk loses focus. Continued use without rest will tire himself out.

Even with the ability to intensify or lessen a selected clump of matter's gravity. It isn't easy when being forcibly awaken from a sweet dream. Luckily, Merk recovers his composure temporarly and amplifies his own gravity to cling against the ship's floor.

Hoping that the gravitational disturbance waned; Merk gingerly hoists his head only to be spooked by emergency lights flashing overhead. He promptly apprehends a bone toy from a mound of random items and begins to displace gravity away from his feet. Merk zigzags to each wall, quickly gathering enough momentum to bound off the wall close to BoneyGaiaJR.

Knowing that he would soon smack in to a wall at this rate. Merk jerks his body off to the right to readjust his direction. Only to slam head first in a pile of cheese.

The quick decompression, while not big enough to pull Belial, causes him to drop his staff. The skull shatters into peices and all that is left is half a rod.

Angry and in disbelif, Someone is going to pay for breaking his sacred staff. He unholsters his punchgun and follows the emergancy lights ot the bridge...

As the gravity came back into force, Ssod watched the lights go down, only to be replaced with different lights. She really couldn't think of anything to do besides following, so somewhat hesitantly, she began walking.

However, she left one hand trailing along the wall. Just in case.

The path to the bridge was easy enough for Ssod and Belial to follow. Within a few minutes of not much except the occasional quake of the ship's gravity, the two were now at the broken door of the bridge.

Most of the lights were off, only one left to flicker helplessly in the corner. Most of the screens had broken, but a few still showed the rapidly diminishing state of the ship.

On one of the consoles a message flashed.

"Incoming communication. Accept?"

In another room, Ripper was having the time of his life. He was trashing everything, clawing things up, things like that.

Ripper's rampage didn't do much to help the state of the ship. As more and more objects were wrecked, a fully functioning computer console fell from the now broken wall, dangling by a few wires.

The screen asked...

"Incoming communication. Accept?"

It wasn't too hard for Ssod to gain entry to the bridge, but what she saw just made her bite her lip.

With one hand clamping onto the console tightly, she watched an whatsitcalled hit the 'accept' button and going off again, for a purpose only it seemed to understand.

She just hoped that she could convince whoever on the other side to help, because from what she could tell from these screens the ship was in a pretty bad shape and was getting worse by the second.

A wash of static was the only thing for a while. Now that Belial had inexplicably left, it was quite creepy in the burned out bridge.

"Szzzzzz.zz.z.z..z.z.z.z.z."

This had seemingly been a useless action until a voice came through the speakers.

"We are Borg. Lower your shields and surrender your ships. We will add your biological and technological distinctiven-

Unclassified threat found. Course of action: Assimilation. We are Borg. Resi- URKKK"

The voice was quickly cut off by a frighting sound and a loud Whump as if something heavy had hit the floor on the other end. Following a gruesome splitting sound and the pats of liquid hitting at high velocities, the something heavy was heard being dragged away.

What just happened on the other line???

Ssod drew back as she haerd the whump. She had a pretty good idea what had happened - her arms could turn into practically anything, within certain boundries - ut she had no way to ask what had just occoured.

Well, she did, but the chances of them hearing anything aside from 'Doom?' was not in her favor.

So, she settled for trying to figure out how to get the ship's condition to stop getting worse, while leaving the screen in case somebody returned and tried to make contact. Again.
