But how do I give the amulet to Danikat? I can't find a "give gift" option when I look at profiles.

Or do I have to look at the object and give the gift from there?

If you want the full how to tutorial I will give you it.
1)Go to Blackstar Wiki
2)type in : Belt
3)Check requirements for your belt, and minimum time before requesting desired belt
4)If requirements are met, buy your requested belt's talisman from The Tribal Pool
5)Go to Your Items
6)Click on the Give option on the bottom of the screen
7)Highlight the talisman that you want to give
8a)Type in : Danikat (for yellow and red belts ONLY!) , in the Give to box
8b)Type in : (Your Sensei) (for other belts ONLY!) , in the Give to box
9)Type in ALL links for ALL the requirements for the new belt if they are post/RP based.
10)Wait for a bit for a PM that states whether you've passed or not

NOTE:If you fail to give sufficient or good evidence that you should have passed, you will not receive your belt!

The Blackstar Wiki States

To request a new belt, go to the Stores link and find the Board Store called "The Tribal Pool". You will have to purchase the appropriate Talisman with your for the new belt you want.

Check the Talisman page above to find out which one you need.

Once you have the right Talisman, go to your Items and click on the text that says "Give," under "Actions". "Give" the Talisman to the correct Sensei for the belt you wish to advance to (Danikat is the Sensei for all belts under green). You will be able to write a message - you MUST include links for ALL the requirements for the new belt if they are post/RP based.

So, if you are applying for a Yellow Belt, you would add a link to the RP you have participated in, and a link to your Character Record. Please don't copy and paste the actual information into the message, just a link to it.

FAILURE TO INCLUDE LINKS WILL RESULT IN YOUR TALISMAN BEING IGNORED AND WASTED.

If you are unsure about what you need to include with your Talisman wish, please contact Embri, Danikat or your clan Sensei and ask about it. We'd be happy to help. The Belt Requirements are being recoded to specifically show which ones you have to provide links for when using your Talisman, to make this clearer.

You do NOT have to include links for requirements such as spelling, grammar, showing respect, avoiding powerplaying, proof of having a medal, etc. The Sensei's should know you well enough that they can make that call.

Well, when I actually cared about belts (not for very long, I haven't bothered to go for them) the give option didn't work for that. You had to PM her about it. It would probably be best to do that anyway just in case.

Last time I checked the 'give' option worked fine. You just have to make sure you include the links to your character profile and the RP(s) that show you've fufilled the other requirements.

Of course if I (or the relevant Sensi) doesn't reply within a few days it could be worth following it up with a PM to make sure it did get through.
