((After some slight discussion and reading, I am almost up to date on Blackstars history so far. I am hopefully avoiding standing on anybodies toes and will be injecting perhaps a darker and moody roleplay in Blackstar. I have no restrictions on this as long as you are willing to play fair.

As I understand it, Blackstars history is sketchy at best, and most recently in the sketchy timeline is the roleplay 'Death of a God'. This roleplay will be set after any events which happen there, so any changes you make with your character will apply here also.

This roleplay does not interfere with Addman’s what if roleplay 'President of Blackstar' since that as Addman’s said himself, is a 'what if'. If you are unsure of anything, please contact me, and I will do my best to fill you in. This roleplay will go wherever those who take part let it go, but there is a final destination (as of yet undecided). I hope you all have fun with this))
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Blackstar is again at peace, or as peaceful as it could possibly get. There were still issues going through their final resolution The night is ill at ease, the wind blows here and there as if a sickness has been leaked upon it. Storm clouds form once so every often before dispersing to different parts of Blackstar. Up above in the pitch black sky, the constellations can clearly be made out, the stars shining brighter than usual.

Many inhabitants were indoors, keeping themselves warm, away from what they knew without realising it was a disturbance in the aura of life itself. The Corporations many satellite systems watched the skies as much s it did the planet. They beamed images into different inhabitants house for a fee, television if you will for the masses. But tonight, these images were distorted with interference. Electronics and man alike sensitive to particular frequencies, normally amplified by certain talents or traits they may have would feel a background buzz. A noise or smog if you will.

There! A shooting star arcs across the skies. Those who can read the future would know this shootings star would end in the freezing icelands, any life it carries extinguished before it could even begin. This masked another’s arrival. Or should that be considered as a return. From where this flaming ball appeared no one could possibly know. Any who did had sworn themselves to secrecy, for fear that the problems they tried to hide would only reveal others. How can they know what events may now unfold, for even they have their follies and weaknesses, pride and arrogance mainly.

Yes, this flaming ball is coming to Blackstar, the satellites of the Corporation track it, monitoring its progress, something has perked those who reside within the conglomerate land churning business. Crashing through the planets atmosphere and down through its skies, it follows no trajectory but down. No arc, as if it had been spewed from space itself. Animals feel something coming and clear he way, for perhaps their keen and primitive senses of fear are working, but for what reason.

Crashing through a mountainous ravine, the flaming ball bounces, once and arcs over many trees of a forest. A second time, it barely misses a popular watering hole, a third time, it lands in a clearing not to far from a Corporate facility. There, the third and largest crater is covered with a thick smog and embers that rain down like dancing winger creatures playing and flirting. Whatever it is has come to a halt and the noise that can be heard around it is immense, for there is nought but silence. An unnatural silence.

Slowly, the fires that line the craters rough edges begin to crackle as something within stirs. Impossible this, for no man, mutant or monster could survive, could it? Perhaps whatever it is is more. A hand, that of a man reaches out from the core, unscathed and grabs firmly onto the rim. This is slowly followed by an arm and then a shoulder and a torso. Until, there, stands a man of human origin, naked as a babe from its mothers womb freshly born. But this is no young infant and possibly not an innocent either.

Stretching his back, he walks to the rim of the crater and looks around him, inhaling deeply he lets out a sly deep laughter. One of one who knows something. This man, perfect as he is waits for something. And somewhere, far and distant it begins. Smiling, a mere whisper that leaks out words that carry more of a warning that a meaning, 'So it begins, a new chapter, a new dominion. Soon all shall know it to be true'. What those words mean, Blackstar can only hope that its fate is cupped in the hands of those that treasure it the most....

He stares up to the sky. "Another fire raging in the skies. I begin to tire of ill omens."

Sitting by the side of a lake, he dips a hand into the water and idly whisks it around. "Although I do not know entirely why I wish to voice these concerns to those such as you around me. After all, you cannot understand me. I can hear you, lake, and I can feel something... but it is like trying to communicate with the simple dreams of an unborn mortal."

He takes his hand out and stands. "Exiled! Exiled for what? For doing what I believed to be just at the time! Ah, but if you could not understand my words, you could never comprehend such fickle politics that govern the Melesi. I am talking merely to ripples and echoes of what minds you may have once contained."

He looks at his rippling, translucent, wavering hand. "Ripples and echoes were all I once had. Now it seems to be the situation once more. And now, fires in the sky. What could I possibly lose now but my life?"

Cirrial strolls away from the side of the lake. He tries to shake the feeling that the lake is pleading for him to stay. That no-one has ever been able to talk to it before. Phantoms, phantoms of my own psyche.

He wanders, intent, looking up to the skies, the two long, snaking protrusions on his head drifting slowly upwards.

Then the fire of the sky flies over head. Lands of the Melesi! What was that monstrosity?!

He sets out to track the flaming ball down, to its landing point closer to the Corporation...

((As far as my Out Of Character is concerned, it is good to see you back

EDIT: Many apologies, I did not realise my post had reached the length it has))

Deep within the maze of the mostly unspoiled, often targeted wilderness that was known by the inhabitants of Blackstar as the Wilds stood a picturesque dwelling framed by ornate gates, which in their turn were attached to fences that ringed the building whose exterior would not have looked out of place if included in a master landscape artists work. The gardens held within the perimeter were well cared for, immaculately arranged in a cornucopia of shapes, scents and colours. Indigenous as well as foreign foliage alternatively resting or blooming depending entirely on their preferences of day, dusk, dawn or night. The house itself is neither inadequately small nor overwhelmingly large, but it is just big enough to allow a small, obviously well paid family of three to live within its well designed walls.

The aforementioned, incomplete familial unit consisted of three females, two young children bearing the names Liessa and Lianna. tucked away in their separate rooms. The older parent and guardian of the pair of young girls bore the name Laur Doyle, previously Laur Wilkins.

The latter of the three had been sleeping, floating in the unreality, uncertainty and wonderment that was the realm of dreams. The brown haired woman tossed and turned on her comfortable bed as something familiar intruded upon her unconscious, forcing her mind up through the layers of sleep until it finally, reluctantly broke through the surface into the conscious. Laur opened a bright blue eye by a minute amount, knowing before she did just who had interrupted her rest.

Beams of light spilled over from the brightly lit hallway into the darkness that pervaded her bedroom, broken only where the figure of a small, black haired girl blocked it as she stood in the doorway clutching a stuffed bear close to her. The youngster was no more than four years old, she fixed her own bright blue eyes upon the bed she knew her mother to be in.

"What is it Lianna?"

Laur inquired of her offspring as she moved her body from its twisted resting position in favour of a more upright sitting posture. Lianna proceeded to walk inside the large bedroom quickly, perhaps fearing a monster from a bad dream would follow her unless she got closer to her mothers protection.

"I can't sleep"

The young girl replied, turning imploring eyes upon Laur as the woman held a hand up to her head. It would seem that her daughter was not the only thing intruding upon her mind tonight as her ability became flooded with the feeling of another power, one that blanketed everything else as the background radiation of the universe did.

"Did you have a bad dream?"

Laur asked of Lianna, causing the girl to shake her head vigorously and strands of black hair to caress the air around her violently.

"No, I just can't sleep. Can I sleep with you tonight?"

'Not if that is what I believe it to be' Laur thought, but kept that thought to herself as she smiled at her daughter.

"You can sleep in my bed, I'm not going to be using it anymore tonight"

The young girls face broke into a smile of joy as her mother removed herself from the furniture and offered the warm sheets to her, immediately taking the offer up. She believed Laurs bed was much better than her own so she forgot her previous request of Laur staying with her instantly as she clambered inside.

Laur got got dressed in the toilet so as not to disturb Lianna, favouring her casual white top with black pants. Whilst she was not planning on going anywhere some hidden instinct within her being told her that she should get dressed.

The Corporation standard phone went off when she reached the foot of the stairs, the first ring coinciding perfectly with her last step. With the merest hint of trepidation the 34 year old woman picked it up before it could disturb Liessa along with Lianna.

"This had better be important, it's the middle of the night and Lianna has already woken up once"

Laur stated to the night-shift employee on the other side of the phone, making no effort to disguise her annoyance at the interruption. Her expression abruptly turned to one of shock mixed with bewilderment as she listened to what the other had to say.

"Fine. I will be there momentarily. Have someone back track the object to find out its origin"

Laur put the phone down, instead reaching for a small wristband that rested on a high shelf and setting it upon her limb. The brown haired, bright blue eyed woman snatched an unused and overlarge dressing gown from inside a drawer, before checking to make sure the vast security system protecting her dwelling was functioning properly, activating a small portal via the wristband and stepping through it.
_____________________________________________________________
Laur reappeared on the other side of the Warp Portal, in front of the same Corporation facility and amazingly directly in front of the nude Till Doyle. The normally blank mask she wore when out in public disappeared when she saw her lost husband, the reluctant mutant had to prevent herself from resembling a fish by not dropping her jaw.

"Till... I... You... You really ought to wear something"

Laur finished, temporarily rendered verbally helpless by the surreality of it all as she held out the white dressing gown towards him.

"It's the best I could get on short notice"

"You know, Laur, that was quiet a fall. I wouldn't have wanted to do that even when I was immortal. And you choose now to fuss about clothes?"

A man walked around the corner. He looked regal, presenting himself with dignity, even though the air of power around him had faded since last he met anyone here. He still wore his combat boots, shirt, and armband, and tonight he wore a traveling cloak. However it what was missing that would draw shock. He ever present Sanity Blade was not at his hip - and most importantly his eyes no longer glowed. He peered at Laur, looking thoroughly normal looking.

In spite of his inability to appearate, he still had an annoying habit of showing up where he was least wanted. This was yet another case, he had walked out of a warp portal not to far from here - in spite of Corporate safe guards against unauthorized people from doing just that. How he managed that - well, DP still have a few secrets of the Warp that he hadn't even shared with the Psychotoians.

He quickly unfastens his travelling cloak and hands it to Laur.

"So, Till, what do we have the pleasure of this unexpected visit?"

Kazumaru's motorbike roared across the countryside, the pads of the smartwheels clacking against the dirt, occasionally sending a rock skittering away. His labcoat billowed behind him, and a wire ran from the Crydex to his ear, where a headset sat. Just in case.

A voice came through. "idiot."

"Mhm?" Kazumaru responded, leaning into a turn. "Little busy, Sent."

"We've got a situation."

"The meteor that just blew past?"

"Yeah."

"Yeah. Saw it. Following what I think was the path. Where'd it land?"

"Near the old Corporation facility... in fact, you're only a short way from it. Trust me, idiot, even somebody as stupid as you can't miss it."

Within minutes, Kazumaru's bike was within earshot of the crash site...

It would appeaer that tonight was to be a night of more unexpected happenings than the reluctant mutant was prepared for, the woman took DP's cloak with little thought although she proceeded to hold it as though she thought it might bite her. The last time she had met the Sensei had been... less than pleasant, though this time the power she had felt radiating off him during their previous encounter had diminished significantly. Whilst the many reports of the death and following resurrection of the deity as a mortal had been outlandish to say the least, here he was in all his newfound mortality.

"I am not a clothes pole"

She muttered under her breath, sparing the normal looking DP a bright blue glare as she finally relocated her ability to speak.

"Why is it that it is near impossible to find you when one wants to talk, yet you manage to show up when that thought is furthest from the forefront?"

DP gave Laur a look of total exasperation.

"What, you expect me to behave according to your wishes? Where's the fun in that?

And for goodness sakes woman that cloak isn't going to attack, though I'd think your husband might appreciate having that to wear."

"Fine"

Laur replied, resisting the urge to shrug her shoulders as the reluctant mutant topped the dressing gown she had resting on the arm currently held out to Till with DP's cloak. Laur proceeded to steal a glance in the direction of the rapidly approaching spirit Kazumaru a split second before the highly unwelcome drone of his motor vehicles engines reached their ears.

"As much as unwarranted meetings go, out in the cold in the middle of a dark night with an unknown guest on their way is not the best setting. I have others relying upon me, nor am I working. So, I see no reason for us to unnecessarily cause ourselves discomfort. Therefore I am inviting you-both of you-back to my house"

Laur finished, figuring she was probably asking for more trouble than it was worth but providing the offer all the same 'Perhaps I am losing it'

Burning through Blackstars atmosphere, a third meteorite comes crashing down towards the planet, creating a large haze. All electronics across Blackstar would suffer temporary shut-down effects or become distorted and malfunction..

~ Meanwhile ~

Mr. Hyameo, owner and head of Future Corps Industries residing in his office, heavily defended, but open to those who have an invite or scheduled meeting is pacing. His satellites have also picked up the footage coming from space. Something about this night is not ordinary, and for a man with no abilities, he feels genuinely nervous. Preparing to investigate, he goes to a briefcase he keeps locked away within a vault in his office.

Taking it out, he places it upon his desk and opens it. There lays a hard fought for set of weaponry, two items, a blade and a gauntlet. Taking them both out he examines them for a moment believing he saw something a little odd. After a moment or two, he places the gauntlet onto his hand, immediately, his form begins to glow and his clothing begins to change. Grasping the sword, and beginning to raise it, there's a bright flash and he collapses onto his office floor, naked and shivering, trapped in a full coma of nightmares. Alarms buzz in his office signifying something’s wrong. His assistants come racing in immediately...

~ Meanwhile ~

The third meteorite finally crashes and bounces through Blackstars desert, not damaging much more than a few rocks and a few desert dwelling animals. The night time rain cools the shards of rock rapidly, not stopping some of it fusing with the sand, causing a glassy surface. The meteorite itself begins to shrink in size as it cools and explodes in a large plume of smoke followed by a strange blue aura that floats into the air.

Within it, something stirs, and gasps for air as it stands. A coloured man shaking in the cold of the desert night. Something stirs within his mind, a memory of sorts, fractured and broken. As his mind tries to piece itself back together, something clicks from far away, and suddenly, his left hand is adorned with a glove of some kind, a gauntlet per se. A sword almost impales him, were it not for lightening fast reflexes. Opening his eyes, he spies the weapon in his hand, but as he holds it, it shines a blue aura around him and dissipates before his body absorbs the aura.

He begins walking, he doesn't know where he's going or who he is, but something pulls at his mind to leave this place and begin searching for something, what, he doesn't know. As he pushes himself up and over dunes and tries to steady himself coming down them, he doesn't notice the occasional animal biting him, trying to poison him. Their ill-effects go unrealised. Whoever this man is, he certainly will fit in with the rest of the population, being weird and different...

For a few moments, Till stands and doesn't pay attention to much, as he surveys his surroundings. Finally, he turns, and grasps the cape of an ex-god smiling. Something is vastly different about him now, and not just his renewed leg, something hidden within his eyes, his soul, his very being. He ties the cape around his waist, allowing it to cover his legs and lower part of his body. He stares into Laur’s eyes, looking for something, and as if he had found it, he turns quickly, to watch a third meteorite fall out the sky, and disappear over the horizon.

He turns back to regard the ex-god this time, but knows better than to stare into his eyes, but, much rather stares at them. "This rock you call a planet, a world. It has something, many things. You rally those to protect it, to defend it, and found yourself dead. You're back, but at a disadvantage. I can see it about you, your presence isn't quite what it once was. It should remain that way lest you wish to know what secrets you still have yet to learn are.

I have business to tae care off. I shall speak to you again and soon. Of this I am sure. Our paths are due to meet again, I pray on good terms."

In Till's fashion, he walks away from the dark one, calling behind him after Laur "We have much to discuss, and I feel time is of the essence. I am sure you will want to know everything, sooner rather than later." Saying nothing more, he heads towards the nearby Corporation facility.

((Before you mention the change in Till's speech, I have made some alterations to him as I see fit, that will take into account his long disappearance.))

Kazumaru could make out three figures in the distance. Before he could identify them, though, a burst of white noise came from his headphones, causing him to wince. The smartwheels on his bike locked up, sending the spirit over the handlebars and bouncing him off the ground a few times, finally skidding to a stop a fair distance away from his bike.

As if this wasn't enough, whatever had caused his bike to lock up and the headphones to fry also shorted out vital parts of the Crydex in his lab coat, somehow burning a hole in his lab coat.

Before passing out, Kazumaru managed one mumbled sentence: "I smell bread."

Laur simply glared at the retreating Tills back, her lips twitching as she remains rooted to the spot, either unwanting or unable to move.

"No Till"

Laur called after him as her mask of concealment fell away yet further, the woman had rapidly switched from being shocked to fairly boiling with outrage, and as such paid no heed to the static sparking off her wristband.

"Waltzing... no, let me rephrase that. You've just crashed in the interior of a meteor, years after you left without any explanation, and expect everything to be as it was before? Whilst your method of showing yourself may have changed, you certainly have not. I am not following you tonight Till, I am going back to the children"

The livid mutant paused briefly to take a breath and let what she was about to say next roll around within the confines of her mind before she voiced it.

"I refuse to be your puppet anymore"

The reluctant mutant slowly, deliberately turned towards the normal looking DP, expression far more calm than it was when her eyes had burned into her husbands back.

"Sensei, or whatever you wish to be called, my offer to you remains"

((Till, Laur and DP are in the Southern Desert, just outside the Corporation's HQ, on the edge of a crater where Till just crashed to earth.

Kaz was heading across the desert, almost there, and then crashed his bike.

A strange man (controlled by GBE) has just crash landed in another meteorite in the desert somewhere. Mr Hyameo is in his office (where ever that is) and somehow simultaneously either giving the stranger weapons or attacking him with them.

I think that's everyone so far.))

Danikat didn't see the meteorites, she couldn't. Not only was she underground, she was also on the wrong planet, in the wrong dimension. Fortunately she didn't have to see them. She was enjoying an unusual moment of quiet, sat in her room in Obsidian Cove reading when her brief peace was interrupted by a tap on the door.

She sighed, unfolded herself and crossed to the door, pausing only to use the edge of her quilt as a book mark. She opened the door, already looking down at floor level - she couldn't remember the last time anyone remotely her own height had knocked on her door - and was mostly unsurprised to see Arian standing there.

"What's happened?" She asked.
"Blackstar's had a meteor shower. Except theres only 3 of them and they all seem to have come from different directions."
"An attack?"
"We don't think so. But two landed in the desert and one in the frozen north, we haven't got many people out there so all we know for sure at the moment is that the Corperation don't seem at all suprised or concerned that one has landed right by their building...." he trailed off.
"Oh, and DP is there, talking to Laur and Till." He finished, obviously having only just been passed the last part.

Danikat sighed, "Here we go again" she thought to herself.
"I'll take Alzaranth and investigate it. Get a full report from Team 1 and pass on anything unusual. Oh, and while we know where he is have them check the rumors that DP is human again."

That thought haunted Danikat the entire way down to the weyr. He had been human when she first met him, but that seemed like a lifetime ago. He had been a god, and a spirit before that, for so long it would be strange seeing him as just another human. "No." She cautioned herself, DP had never been 'just another human' and thinking of one of her oldest enemies that way was leaving herself open to attack. Besides who's to say he couldn't ascend again?

"We are going to Blackstar?" Alzaranth asked excitedly as she walked into the Weyr. Veamoth lifted his head to watch her cross the gigantic room but wasn't going to get interested until there was something to attack.
"Yes we're going to Blackstar, investigating." Danikat replied as she slung the riding harness onto Alzaranth. Just as she was climbing up Lopp appeared and wrapped himself around her neck.

After a moment to get them both settled Alzaranth walked down the short corridor to the weyr entrance and dropped into flight over the bright sea. It might be the middle of the night in Blackstar but here it was a bright, sunny day. Suddenly the dragon dissapeared Between and bright sunlight was replaced by freezing darkness. By comparison the normal night time of the Evergreen Glades where they appeared seemed bright and warm, even at high altitude.

They circled once over the Training Dojo before spotting the parth of destruction left by the meteorite and began to follow it south, watching for anything out of the ordinary....which was easier said than done in this world.
