How odd. I was just checking mine and it's a pile full of crazy as well, with a carrying capacity of, er, null out of null. I sure don't remember having so many gemstones and necklaces, that's for sure.
Given the complaints I had about this, what, a year ago, I think there's some flaw in the system that leads to this happening, and it's happened to me as well. And with my lack of understanding just what makes the item system tick, I'll have to do some rooting around to learn what may be causing the problem.

Anyway, major kudos for rounding up the candidate threads. Not that it's hard, given the low level of activity around here. Actually, on that point, anyone else find it funny that we're all complaining about the low level of activity on what's become a rather active thread?

I never really was that heavily into the CC. It's strange though, as I came across the Evil Council on the Creatures Wiki about a year before ever coming into contact with any of its members. I think I made a total of three posts on the Gameware forums for technical support reasons, never looking at the rest of the forum as a whole.
I'm contemplating rejoining the EC, given how so much awesome seems to be happening behind closed doors. But then I'm already on the waiting list for rejoining the Guardians. And I'm the creator of the Power Apathy Party (hahaha this doesn't really count for anything). Maybe I should just collect group memberships, it sure seems to be turning out that way. >_>
Yes, I said rejoining the EC. I was there and the records will show this to be true! Where's the sign up sheet? I have my fancy-writin' pen here with me! ...I'm not doing a very good job at this whole "staying on topic" thing.

Oh, I dunno, the economy these days. We have to drive armoured vehicles full of everywhere to pay for a loaf of bread! Although apparently  is stronger than ever. You can take a fistful of and buy yourself a postponement for your weekly beating- I mean, "morale adjustment" from the EC.

Argh, okay guys. This upcoming rant/confession has been overdue for quite some time, and I apologise to Violet for the temporary thread-jack.
I was the item/medal admin and I still have guilt about up and leaving with absolutely no warning, leaving more than a few item requests unfinished and suspended in perpetual limbo.
Basically, the only reason there's been no new items or medals is because I decided to have just a little breakdown at the work I had to do in addition to preparing for... I'm guessing first year of university.
That and I also had an art breakdown in which I became convinced I couldn't pixel anything to save my life. See, it doesn't tend to be just one cause with me, it's a combination of causes.
So rather than actually, y'know, saying this on the fora, I decided to just drop off and fade out, because <sarcasm>of course if I happened to make any mention of weakness then Blackstar as a whole would rip me to shreds.</sarcasm>
Unfortunately, while I know how dumb that sounds now, at the time I somehow thought it made more sense to just vanish then say "Look guys, I can't draw more stuff right now because there's other things going on, and I think I can't draw, period."
I think I edited my user article on the wiki recently with a somewhat ambiguous pledge to at least finish the stuff people requested of me sometime during the summer. If I do go ahead with it, it's going to pretty much be the summer and just the summer, I've got far too many deadlines I need to face otherwise. I can spend a combined time of an hour posting on the forums, but I can't spend the hours and hours it would take to pixel individual items. And, let's face it, I'd never match Embri's level of quality, try as I might.
The alternative to this if anyone's really desperate is I forgo pixels in favour of vector art, which I can do, but which will look even more mismatched alongside the pixel sprites. Also, if anyone's interested in me finally getting around to, I don't know, starting a medal vote, PM me nominations. I'm sure I can probably do vectored medals. Spook's seemed pretty good and not too clashing.

I don't mind the thread-jack at all; if/when you're ready to start killing people with your min--uh, I mean, making art, we'll be ready to appreciate it's awesome killing power.

As for the activity drop, I think that it's been a rather steady process. GW closed well after most of us had already left, and imo, they only closed because some of us came back and were somewhat vocal about what a lousy job they were doing of moderating the place. |
Was this spam I keep hearing about the LeanneFarnell type of unrelated off-topic 11-year old spam?
I did a good search for various Creatopia and Creatures sites but haven't pinned down the title of the site.

I can take a look at the item system; while I don't have admin or file-access anymore, I believe I remember the inner-workings of the item system enough to figure out in what part of the system Cornelius was jammed.

Wow, Violet's back. I know I'm somewhat late, but this place never showed up as having new posts for me for some strange reason. And my net#s been dead for a couple day's too, so that might've had something to do with it.
And that site you're thinking about is www.creaturetopia.org 3kul  . Although I haven't visited for, uh, ages, I still know the web address thanks to the useless information I seem to memorize all the time
