Hi. visagepoissons here. Nirvana fanatic, and overly happy depressed weirdo. Yeah. A couple of you know me, probably don't remember me now. Raven, thanks for all the spam e-mails over the years. Intyalle, or whatever you use on here. I do wish you'd stick to one name. Anyways, I know you a lot better then you know me. I really like role playing. However I fear I'm not as good as some of you veteran players. Hopefully I can learn a thing or twelve, and use that knowledge to help my own forum. Okay, I'll let you get back to ignoring me.

I forget what else I should say (I don't usually frequent the greetings section Razz

) but I'm sure that somebody else will be along in a moment to give you a canned greeting and all kinds of good stuff.

Welcome to the Blackstar Role Playing Dojo!

If you are new to the world of Role Playing, you may wish to start at the Training Dojo, where any of our staff will be more than happy to help you learn the game.

The most important part of role playing is the development of a character. This is required before you participate in most role plays. You can look at examples of characters in our Hall of Records. Once you have a character, you can post your profile in there.

Once you have a character and some training, you may wish to join a role play. The most active of Role Playing boards is The Wilds. There are many other role playing boards for RPs of a specific location or type. Explore as much as you can.

A new feature to the Dojo is the addition of items. Most items have a way to be synthed, or combined, with other items to form usable items. Usable items will be listed in a pull down menu when you create a post, enabling you to specify which item you are using, who is using it, and what their target is. Usable items have a hit % and a break %. If you're lucky, your item use will suceed, if not, it will miss. Either way, there is a chance that your item will break and become unusable. See our wiki article on Items for more information.

Several of the boards are non-RPing boards. Boards like Announcements, General Chat, and Bugs and Features are examples of non-RPing boards. Be sure to explore these too.

We only have a few rules:
1. Respect other people, and treat them as you wish to be treated.
2. Do not argue with the Admins and Mods. They have plenty of work already. If you really have a beef with something, discussing it in a logical and calm manner will get you miles farther than whining.
3. No Powerplaying. This means forcing actions on other people. For more information on Powerplaying and how to avoid it, please refer to "Powerplaying" on our wiki.

If you have any questions during your stay here, you may ask one of the administrators or moderators. You can recognize us by our belts: Gold Dragons on the belt of an Admin, Silver on the belt of a mod.

Should you be unable to contact an Admin or you want your answer quickly, you can always refer to the Blackstar Wiki.

Please also be advised that Blackstar is considered highly addictive and may result in symptoms of insomnia, crankiness, longing for insanity, and general RP itch if you discontinue use.

Interesting sig Raven. Thanks for the welcome, interesting that so many people managed to forget their can openers. I always keep three on me, just in case. I don't think I'll need to visit a training section, I'm not that bad. Just terrible! Razz

Actually my favorite word is fish (Weird i know) face was just a random word I chucked in.

Dunno, sorry. Ask 3kul, he goes to OT as well. I don't think Murgowl would be okay, though. He's just the worst concept you've ever made for anyone with two scraps of logic to rub together. Except maybe the Realms. They're just seriously screwy.

Welcome to the Dojo, hope you find your stay fulfilling and as painless as possible. Now, I'm bored so make with the comedy! I can't go to Psychotopia's Comedy Club anymore after the time I did my stand up act there with the ventriloquist's dummy of DP. I thought the swastikas were actually quite tasteful...
