Some Sparring Practice

Lunagon flinched slightly when Eve first put the needle in, but quickly got used to the pain and relaxed while she worked. The second part of the treatment, which involved the healing light, slightly alarmed the half-vampire, but he had to admit it felt good.

After the light, the only pain on his shoulder was minor, caused by Eve pulling out the strings. Any pain caused directly by the slash was gone. Now that he knew there wasn't any treachery involved with this, he definatly felt more comfortable around her.

At least, none yet... hissed the doubting voice in his mind, which Lunagon ignored.

"How does that feel?" she inquired as she returned the rest of her materials back into the pouch before returning it to its proper place at her belt.

"Not bad," answered Lunagon, by now moving the once-injured arm around to see if it worked without the cut spewing blood everywhere and hurting.

[Mitsukai]

"that's good to hear.." she commented wryly, now at a loss on what to say. A quick look up told her the sun had already setted.

Lunagon also noticed the sun had set.

Oh great, now it happens. He thought, wondering why it couldn't have set while he and Eve were battling. Oh well.

A yawn escaped her lips and she stretched her arms above her head.

"Mmm... I suppose there's no use trying to get back to town now. And after all this sparring, we don't know each other's names..." she mused. "I'm Nynaeve... but you may call me Eve if you like."

She considered at least retrieving her bag, then dismissed the idea. She would get it in the morning instead.

Lunagon, being part vampire, didn't look at all tired.

"My name is Lunagon." he said, before sitting down and leaning against the wall. He too had left several items outside the ruins-amongst them his Book of Dark Magic-but decided against going to get them, seeing as he had the items he considered most important. Those items were his weapons, his flask of bloodjuice, and his necklace.

Come to think of it, he needed to take a sip of the flask. So he rummaged around in his own pouch for it.

((Shall I RP the Dab Hasnel when it comes? In case you don't know what it is, look around the Genetic Repository and there should be something about them.))

((Mmm.. yes please since I"m unfamiliar with RPing creatures, especially ones that are not my own.))

She nodded her head, glancing up at the sky once again.

"You're not tired are you...?" she commented. Opposite to him, she felt quite sleepy.

Moving around a bit, she sat down wiith her back to the wall so that she could have something to lean on.

Lunagon shook his head, but didn't respond with words.

Finding his silver-colored flask, he opened it, lifted it to his lips, and took a few sips before putting it away. Then he leaned against his wall and closed his eyes to think.

Mmm.. still the untalkative one...

"Will you stay awake and keep watch then? T'is too late to be going back to town, so I suppose we'll have to stay here for the night."

Lunagon opened one eye after Eve's question, not very pleased with having his thoughts interuptted.

"I might as well." he said before closing his eye again and resuming his thinking.

Eve scowled slightly at his answer.

The faster I leave this place.. the better...

Shifting slightly into a more comfortable position, she closed her eyes and allowed herself to drift off to sleep.

Lunagon looked like he too was sleeping, stretched out, with both his hands folded against his chest, although in fact he wasn't. Rather, he was thinking about how the relationship between him and this other person would kick off.

As long as it turns out good...

Suddenly, he heard something that disturbed his thoughts-a sound like that of a wheel rolling over gravel. Opening both his eyes and getting up, the half-vampire looked around.

What would wheels be doing in ruins like these. Perhaps the ghosts of the past?

Nynaeve stirred in her sleep, her lips forming a bit of a frown. Her eyes fluttered open, and it was apparant that she was still quite groggy since her gaze was not steady and she looked disoriented.

"Mmm.." she groaned, sitting up a bit straighter. "What was that?"

"I have no idea, it sounded like a wheel rolling over some rocks. I think the ghosts of whoever used to inhabit these ruins are coming to haunt us." answered Lunagon, quite casually.

Wait-what else rolls to move, other than wheels? Hoop snakes, balls-

Suddenly, the moon was blocked out by something for a split-second, and the half-vampire found himself staring into a pair of empty, black eyes.

-enigmas.

Although it was very dark, he managed to get a good look at the whole creature standing before him. It sported 4 slim, 3-toed limbs, attached to a long body which tapered to a longer tail, which the beast happened to be standing on.
Over the top of the body was a shell reminisicent of a centipede, with a sharp ridge going down the center of the back. The head of the creature-along with the eyes-was rounded, and had a mouth with a forward-pointing horn at both corners.

From these features, Lunagon managed to figure out that the creature was an enigma of the type called 'Dab Hasnel.' And judging by the expression on it's face-it looked angry-and hungry.

"Correction. It appears to be a Dab Hasnel enigma-a very angry Dab Hasnel enigma." added Lunagon, now very worried.
