With a hard, metalic tink, Nynaeve snapped the steel fan in her right hand closed. Tossing the left fan in the air, she caught the base of the fan with the point of her right. In one swift counter-clockwise turn, Nynaeve flung the fan at Goron with a flick of her wrist. The fan spun parallel to the ground, becoming a deadly spinning disk. Smoothly, the spinning fan traveled across the ground at neck height.

Not wasting any time, Nynaeve took a running start, her right fan, now in its unfurled state, held out in front of her. The sharp point was aimed right at Goron's middle.

((It's good. It's creative. It's spelled correctly. Have you considered applying for a green belt in something? Judging by the style of this fight, I would recomend the Mantis, however the choice is up to you: Belts ))

Goron twirled to the right, parrying the disc with his shuriken as he went. The metal death blade ground against his knife, emitting a glowing waterfall of sparks. It then proceeded to ricochet off the blade and into a nearby tree. The fan stuck soidly with a loud *thunk*.

Goron's twirl had propelled him away from the second fan, but not far enough. The point grazed by him, leaving a nice scar on his side. His clothes tore and blood began to drip from the wound.

"OW! That really hurt!" Goron said, nursing his cut, regaining his level professionalism (whatever there had been), he continued, "In that attack you can see the beauty of dual-wielding. The possibility of a double attack. Just make sure you have a weapon left afterwords," he added, nodding to the fan that was now stuck in a nearby tree.

((I'm most certainly planning on moving up belts. As for which style though, I think both would suit me fine since my character has magical abilities, and she has skill with weapons as demostrated here. Hmm... would I be able to pursue both? Before I do that however, I need to get my red belt first. Razz

I only have 1 of the 3 RP's that require 10 posts though, so that might take a little while.))

Nynaeve raised an eyebrow when he said this, a bit of a smirk tugging at her lips.

"Don't speak too soon," she replied calmly, her voice barely heard over the protesting creak of the wood as her deadly fan began to hum and vibrate. Suddenly, there was a loud crack as the fan distached itself from the wall and flew back to its owner.

Without even blinking an eye, Nynaeve raised a slender hand and caught the fan by it's base. Smoothly, she brought the fan down to her side. Snapping it shut, she explained before he could ask a question.

"A little bit of demonic essense was added into the making of the fans. Enough for me to retrieve the fan without moving, but not too much that the fans would stick together."

((Just a brief explanation of the whole "demonic essense" concept. Since the fans were made with the essense of the same demon, they stay together. The amount of essense is slight enough so that the fans don't stick together, and she can use them seperately, but enough so that the fan will return to her because of the other fan. Somewhat similar to two strong magnets with the exception of the pull between the two become stronger the farther apart they are rather than when they're closer together.))

((Realistic enough so it fits into Blackstar. Good. Although I must question if such a force would have an impact on your ability to deliver a fan-toss at high speeds.

It is completely possible that you can be a part of both belts, there are several people that do. Also, I missed that you were still a yellow belt. Oops.

"Impressive," Goron noted as the fan made a beeline for Nynaeve, "Your form is excellent. There is perhaps more I can teach you, but from here it is no longer so general. Is there anything that you would personally like to work on? I will do my best to instruct you in any area you choose."

((That's good to know. Forgot to mention this though... a bit of time must elaspe before the fan returns, but the farther the fan is from its owner, the shorter the time length. This technique isn't without its weakness though, but I won't jot them down quite yet. Wink

But agreed, the whole concept of it needs a bit of careful revisioning. ))

Nynaeve allowed herself a small smile at the praise.

"I'm not quite sure actually," she admitted while eyeing his wound. "Is there any particular area I need improvement in? If so, then perhaps we could start there."
