The Devil Bird

[Cirrial]

During the turmoil in the river, a sudden violent motion throws droplets of spray out of the river and onto the riverbank. More and more droplets fly up from arbitary places, all pooling into a gelatinous puddle on the river side.
The ball of water morphs and warps into a vaguely humanoid figure, before sprouting two very recognisable snaking "ears" from its head. They wave about agitatedly as the rest of the figure gains detail.

Cirrial looks around. "Can't a guy swim in a river without being swum through? Do I really ask for much?"

He pauses. "In this place, I certainly do."

Looking across the river, he speaks to Samura. "You there! Reptilian entity! What's going on now?"

Ah, crap. He should've known this would happen. Where there's Norn, there are going to be people. Judging by the clothes, this particular man appeared to be one of the corrupted people that currently inhabbited this area of the Dojo.

~Silver? Take to the sky and follow me closly. There are people on the loose. Bad ones. Don't let them see you, and if they do, get out of here as fast as you can. They're more scared of you than you are of them, and that makes them dangerous. Extremely so.~

Morphing back to his original form, the Pheonix bursts out of the water and blows some sand in the corrupted creature's direction with his wings. He randomly picks a direction and flies towards it, hoping Silver was following.

((Cirrial's the 'Corrupted Person/Creature' I reference in this post. As you can see, this particular creature has no trust in people, especially not members of the Evil Council (Who just so happen to be dedicated to the arts of chaos, death, destruction and insanity. They're actually quite nice once you get to know them. Just don't have them as roommates, they make a point of hiding the remote for some archaic reason).))

[Nasari]

"You tell me, man. I was just lookin' for some fish, when this dolphin swam up, tried to bite me, and all of a sudden it turns into this huge bird! I know this is a crazy world, but this is a new thing for me."

Samura's stomach growled.

"Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got some lunch to catch."

Samura jumped back in the water.

"CANNONBAAAAALL!

Silver swam along looking here and there. Lucky for her her human form wasnot a true human form. She had no reason to have to breathe, so she could stay under the water as she continued trying to keep up with the newly formed dolphin-phoenix.

But then there was a large, very strange reptile like creature. She saw it try to pet her new friend, and she wanted to attack it for doing so, but she didn't, as she saw a very strange man. Then she heard the other phoenix tell her to take flight, that this situation was dangerous. Besides, Silver wasn't much up to big talk, so she did that. Jumping out of the water she transformed back into a phoenix, and blazing, she jetted herself higher into the air, and once again she followed her friend.

((I forgot Cirrial was still my active EC character. Bad Cirr! Work harder on the EC-specific character's profile! *whips self* Ow.))

Cirrial would close his eyes to ponder, if he actually had eyelids. Or eyes. Or a face. Instead, he is hesitant, sluggish bubbles rising and following as he contemplates what to do next.

He mumbles absently, the turbulent bubbling in his body caused by his speech literally drowning any audible words.

A flash of some sort of dolphin was the first thing he "saw" on reforming. His very essence contradicts this. He had been swum through by dolphins before, on several unpleasant occasions. None of the ones he ever met had such focus, such purpose.

Eh. It was probably hunting some fish.

He looks around again, his empty gaze falling back onto the waters of the river. Water from the splash of the Norn jumping back into the river hits him, before joining the eddies and currents of his form.

He looks into the sky. "Hrmmm... something seems amiss here, but I can't quite figure out why."

The Pheonix begins to slow down, deeming the distance between them and the corrupted one fairly safe.

~Whew. Close one, eh? Where do you come from, anyway? It's never been common for a pheonix to take the form of a Person.~

Silver flew along, a little closer to her new friend now. The other had asked her a question that stung her somewhat to think about it, but, she replied,

"I come from the spirit realm." She said. "And you are from where?"

~I don't know where I'm from. I've spent a lot of time in the Dojo, so I suppose you could call me a local. How did you get into the Dojo in the first place, anyway?~

Silver looked at the other phoenix as she continued to follow it, "I was banished here."

Silver looked at the other phoenix. She saw a tree, and said, "Why don't we perch there for now and take a quick break and I will tell you?" She asked, flying now in the direction of the tree.

((Is it too late to join?))

((Not at all, alakin.))

~Sure, why not.~

The Pheonix closes it's wings and dives towards the ground, opening them when he arrives at the approxomite hieght of a sterdy-looking branch. A few flaps later and he perches on the tree with what can only be described as animalistic grace. HE suddenly loses his grip and ends up holding onto aforementioned branch upside-down.

~Uhhm... Go on.~

Almanach was walking through the Black Forest one day when he noticed, two strange bird perched on a tree, one upside down, nearing them warily he asked,
"You manner two birds of what are?" though telepathically he sent
~What manner of birds are you two?~

The Pheonix starts at the sight of this creature, apparently out of no-where. Considering it a non-threat after some quick deliberation, he decides to engage the creature in conversation.

~...We're pheonixes. We eat you. Bugger off.~
