General Commentary on the Games

Hm... But just for argument's sake, let's say the next judges both pick an EC win, but the total points we gain over the Guardians from their cumulative scores is less than 6 (which is the Guardians' current lead on the EC) - I don't think that's an impossible situation, given how close the match was, but this then make the Guardian's total score higher than ours, and so the win would be theirs...

Of course, that's all just a hypothetical situation, it's probably not going to happen (though it might in the next round, so I'd like to know), but man, the judging is too confusing for me, it's making my head spin I think you were right with the first one Goron (if it's a draw with the judges, it depends on total score). Oh, and by the way, did you get into much trouble over posting in the wrong thread during someone else's match?

I guess I should step in and let you quit speculating.

The winner of a team match is determined by the cumulative score, so if we were to have two judges go one way and two go another, we still have a winner.

So

Yeah, but what I was saying was what if three judges go one way, but the other judge has created a bigger margin between the two so that the other team wins. I kinda suck at explaining things, so I'll give an example:

Judge 1: Team A = 15/20, Team B = 14/20

Judge 2: Team A = 17/20, Team B = 15/20

Judge 3: Team A = 16/20, Team B = 15/20

Judge 4: Team A = 13/20, Team B = 18/20

Totals: Team A = 61/80, Team B = 62/80

See, because of Judge 4's score, Team B has won despite majority of the judges going with Team A (this is purely hypothetical, mind you, try not to worry about why the judges might score this way). Doesn't really seem all that fair that one judge could decide the outcome of the entire round like that (especially with judges only posting one at a time like they are now).

So for the slight possibility of having shifty judgings.

WOOOOOOOO! That makes two judges for an EC win and only one for a Guardian win! Though Kat's score still hasn't been fixed up so it's hard to work out a total... Oh well, I'm still stoked with these results. Now off to collect my winnings from the bookmakers!

Given that it's what his score adds up to, I assumed that it was 10 and that Uncle Asriel had merely forgotten to type it in. If that's not the case though, I'm sure he'll notice this and change it when he next comes online.

The similar problem with Kat's is a bit more troublesome, as unless the missing score is 11 (which is impossible) her score just doesn't add up, so we have no idea what the total is. She didn't even end up putting a comment in somehow , so I have no idea what's going to happen if she's not around to fix it (and it seems that she's quite busy atm). Maybe an average of the other scores she gave?

Looks like all of the judges' scores are up for the Team Tournament (what we've all been waiting for) ! So, here's a points tally to see how it's all gone down:

TG = 42 + the missing cleverness score (0 - 10)

And so the totals are:
Evil Council = 178
The Guardians = 178 + the missing cleverness score (0 - 10)

... Well firstly, I've got to say that it's just downright uncanny that the scores would come out exactly the same like that (I know the cleverness score needs to be factored in, but come on! How weird is that? ).

More importantly though, unless the missing cleverness score is zero (an unlikely case in which it'd be a draw anyway), it would seem that the Guardians have managed to emerge victorious (just barely, mind you ). As an Evil Council member, I should probably kidnap your families or slip poison into your next meal or something like that purely out of spite, but as an RPer, I feel that I should congratulate you guys. As the scores show, that was a damn close match, and I had a lot of fun going up against all of you.

Oh, and also thank you to the judges for their hard work. No doubt many of these rounds have been very hard to judge, and I'm sure everyone here appreciates the the time and effort that you put into make your decisions.
