*Net pulls his sword out of a nearby patch of dirt and turns to face the golems, who had for the last ten minutes completely ignored his (admitedly sucky) attacks. This time was different, because he had noticed something interesting. The Locust Fiends were busy moving a cattle train towards the crater's perimeter, and were traveling directly over the golems. Thinking fast, Net issues the only command appropriate for the current situation.*
Drop.
*The Locust Fiends turn towards him, their faces a collaboration of insectile hatred. Apparently, 'Drop' didn't mean what Net thought it meant. As it turns out, Little Sister had finally gotten revenge on him ruining her prized souffle in their Grade 8 Home Economics class.
The Locust Fiends throw their cargo into a pile of scrap metal near the center of the crater and start chittering madly at Net. Aforementioned heroic spirit of binary computation drops his sword in what is now known as an 'Oh poo-poo.' moment, and runs towards the Arena's simulated horizon, being bitten on the posteriour by locusts all the while.*
((Little Sister always struck me as the kind of person who'd say 'I'll get you when you least expect it' and actually mean it . Hope you don't mind my miniscule powerplay there 3kul .)) _________________
Bah, Give me 2 days and a load of napalm...
(( Hilarious Net (and I don't mind at all, you're pretty much spot on with how Little Sister is with revenge). So cruel of Little Sister to sabotage our efforts though ))
The lava was quickly making it's way back to HollowEyes after it had missed Sehkmet instead of pursuing her, and now splashed out over his head, aiming to catch her before she could lay a hand on HollowEyes. It was both a clever and highly dangerous move, one that HollowEyes definately wouldn't have attempted back when he first got the Ruby Dagger, as if he screwed up he'd be covered in the molten liquid flame. He could survive quite a variety of life-threatening attacks, but a bath in lava wasn't one of them.
Suddenly, somebody shouted out one of the most insulting and offensive things someone can ever mention to a Locust Fiend, and in their own native language no less. "Ugh, Net..." HollowEyes had a rather pained look on his face as the binary spirit had just managed to enrage every one of the summoned Fiends. He wasn't sure whether to be annoyed or impressed - the timing and pronounciation of the word was perfect, and he didn't recall ever teaching Net something like that (for fear that he might actually say it).
He tried to grab a few of the later, low-flying Fiends, hoping that they might listen to reason, and finally caught a hold of one. It was struggling furiously and shrieking like a banshee, ready to tear several large chunks out of Net's left tendon (assuming that there was any left to spare). HollowEyes tried as best he could to convince the Fiend that it was an accident.
[Listen, Net, he, uh... hit head when born. Many times.]
The Fiend seemed unconvinced and showed no change in it's attitude, so HollowEyes continued in a whispered screeching, keeping an eye out for a stray attack from Goron and Sekhmet. _________________ If I'm not here, I'm probably over at...

Raven was striding towards where she now, though the tower was. She had seen it crumble, and rolled her eyes, knowing Net had done something foolish. She decided it would be best if she got there faster by flying. Opening her wings, Raven tensed her muscles as she was about to 'launch' if you may. Suddenly she felt tired... as if something had washed over her, sapping all her energy. But at the same time, something else was rising. Something the same, yet different. "Oh crud." Raven said plainly, something was dampening her spirit. And unfortunately... she was not the only spirit that resided in her body. "Sister, give me strength, do not take me." She whispered, as the world started to go black because of her lack of energy. Anyone who was watching would have seen her body collapse as in fainting on the back lawn of the house.
Darkness. Complete, darkness. Cold, so very cold. "Wake up sister, rise now." A cool voice sung to her. Raven's eye's fluttered open. Looking around, she saw a white room. "Where... am I?" She though. Yet it sounded like she had spoken, her voice echoed in the room. "You’re in our mind sister." The cool voice spoke again; Raven looked around to see who had spoken. No one was there. And empty room. "Rest now sister..." the voice spoke up again. It seemed to be coming from everywhere, yet no where all at once. "It's my turn now sister... you've had your fun... it's my turn to play...
Back at the arena, Ravens eyes opened. But instead of their usual grey or crimson, a pure black shone out of them. Standing up, her wings opened again, and she cast her senses around to try and found what had distraught her. "Come out, come out where ever you are..." The icy voice hissed, whilst drawing Ravens sword. |

Having seen this all too many times, Goron sidestepped the oncoming charms. This was of little difficulty as the charms were moving at the speed you would expect paper to move. All four charms floated harmlessly to the ground.
Goron would normally have retaliated and attacked, but the EC team seemed to be doing a good job of ripping itself apart. Net had managed to anger the locust fiends, who were now attempting to rip him apart, and at the same time HollowEyes tried to hold them back.
"Dammit if you guys attack each other much more there's going to be nothing left for us!"
With that Goron calmly drew several shuriken and hurled them, alternating between Net and HollowEyes, while walking down into the crater towards the pair of them and the fiends. _________________ ~Goron~

((3kul, I had and have no intention of attempting to summon the locust fiends. I know that Holloweyes has a lot of special deals to get his charms and suchlike. I wouldn't dare be as disrespectful as to just summon something someone else has created. That's just rude
As it is, this is purely ooc. So I have qualms of trying to explain myself, and gain your agreement, or judgement as the case maybe. Essentially, Jho'Lhak, and I, believe that if something is to be summoned, it must at least have a magical residue. Otherwise, how is it summoned. Sure, they left via the charms. Which are technically magical. Thus, residue must be left on the locusts. Or am I looking too deep into this.
As it, using what was left of that residue, as things can't really just disappear without leaving a residue, whether it be warp residue or magical residue. He's used it to create a kind of banish spell. One that returns the fiends back to whence they came. However, it has to be a dirct spell, rather than a generic area spell (thus avoiding a powerplay if you will).
Is this, in any way, shape or form acceptable by you. I don't want to throw anything into disarray as such....
GBE))
Jho'Lhak smiled as the tower toppled. Still in control of the golemesque creatures, he decides it's time to pay Holloweyes some attention. They slowly turn around and look at Holloweyes, if look is the word that could possibly describe this action.
Moving towards him, one of the creatures, still holding the remnants of a car begins to tilt itself backwards to throw it. The other creature moves behind it, giving it some physical support, as it does tilt backwards.
Then, with a slight lunge, the second creature pushes the first one forwards, who heaves the car towards Holloweyes. Jho'Lhak decides waiting for the hit is pointless. They are draining too much power from him now.
He releases them from his control, as he does so, they fall back into the ground. Opening his eyes, he surveys the scene once more, and notices Net running away, being chased by the fiends. How odd he thought. Something is working to their favour.
He digs into one of his pockets, and pulls out a Magick Crystal. Holding it in front of him, it appears to be a much larger one than the others he's removed before. Gesturing with it upwards towards the sky, he snaps it open. A bright flash of energy emerges from it. This raw Magick energy flows upwards, returning to the universe... _________________ Books are source of knowledge, knowledge source of power, power is source of corruption, corruption is crime.Reading books will get you imprisoned!

With no time to evade, Sekhmet hit the wave of flame. Jho'Lhak's damaged shield resisted the heat and force for a moment, splashing lava in all directions, before disintegrating completely. Sekhmet shrieked as the remaining embers and fragments of lava clung to her fur, burning her.
She hit the ground and rolled madly in the grass, snarling in pain. Too strong... get out of here! She leaps to her feet and bolts, getting away from this unnatural foe as fast as she can.
After a few minutes she comes to rest in a back garden. Panting, she flops down beneath a tree. She looks somewhat the worse for wear, with her feather crest singed and now areas of her fur scorched black, with raw burned flesh showing through in places. Instinctively she licks at her wounds, then draws back with a hiss as the burned flesh stings. What weapon was that? I've never seen anything like it!
She finds her mind begin to drift towards thoughts of her comrades. Wounded or no, I can't hide here. This fight is not over yet. Distracted by the pain, Sekhmet had unknowingly walked straight into Whiteoak's Divine Energy field.
A sound, drifting on the wind, makes her look up. "Come out, come out where ever you are..." Standing with a barely audible hiss, she takes to the rooftops again in search of the voice. |

Over time, the Divine Energy Field will slowly settle to the ground. Soon, the area will be filled with lush plantlife quickly coming into bloom and filling the area with fragrence and beauty, if this were not an artificial environment, bunnies and songbirds would flit about the lawns in joyous celebration of life and love. A badly burned feline will most likely find it's wounds healing very quickly and the good parts of its being (both physical and spiritual) will be enhanced and its weaknesses and old emotional scars healed and strengthened. ((from the Psalms, "I believe I will see the goodness of the Lord, in the land of the living."))
Whiteoak was moving away from his encounter with Raven, trying to stay quiet and trying to stay out of the line of sight of the yard she had been in. Continuing to reinforce his fields, he kept up a fairly sensitive perception of the spiritual environment around him, while staying relatively imperceptible himself. He felt her weaken and fade, and got some personal satisfaction from that, but then he felt something rather drastically replace that feeling. Was it malevolent?, was it, ?, almost, sort of, hungry? void? the best word he could find to find to describe what he felt was "black", but he doubted that would communicate the feeling to anyone else.
So caught up, was he, in what was going on inside his head, he wasn't paying proper attention to where he was going, and he accidently stepped on a skateboard on a driveway. I went out from under him, and he fell in a most ungracious manner. Skinning his knee badly and gashing his head on a nearby fire hydrant. Up to this point, he hadn't a scratch, and now he looked like a common barroom brawler. Feeling just a touch of embarrassment, he tried to think of a good story. He knew Goron would be merciless in his teasing if he knew it was just clumsiness. He'd have to make up some story about a fight with Raven, or a conjured up Targbeast or something,
and he'd been doing so well..... _________________ Nobody knows where you are, how near or how far.

*Net screams as several shiruken hit their target, embedding themselves in a place that will ensure his buttocks will be unable to contact a chair for the next week or two. This wasn't what concerned him most. What concerned him most was HollowEyes giving away his most treasure childhood secrets to a group of loud, noisy locusts that couldn't keep their proverbial mouths shut if their lives depended on it.*
[Don't listen to him! He's ah... How you say... Eunich! Snip-snip! Yeah.]
*Unfortunatly, Little Sister had also seen fit to get revenge on him for feeding Addman her Grade 9 English essay, and therefore 'Eunich' didn't quite mean what Net thought it meant.*

((DISARRAY! No, just kidding , although I now see where you're getting at GBE. I guess some kind of reverse summoning spell would be possible to create like that, so I don't really have any problems with it at all.))
"Net, you are NOT making my job any easier..." HollowEyes commented as he desperately tried to convince the fiends to stop. He'd basically told them Net's entire life story up until now, which, though highly amusing, didn't really seem to convince them. HollowEyes gave in as Net brought out yet another world-class insult, which basically undid any convincing that he'd done. HollowEyes gritted his teeth, very annoyed at how the Fiends had taken to ignoring him and attempting to tear chunks out of Net's rear end.
Thinking of a way to solve this problem, he noticed that Goron was about to attack. HollowEyes pulled out a beetle charm and tapped it to his horn, not really having the time or patience to dodge the flurry of shurikens. His horn bulged outwards, increasing greatly in both size and density, and the shuriken hit their mark one by one, each settling in his horn with a harmless 'thunk'. Sekhmet's screeching as she hit the lava was a good sign that she'd failed to avoid it, and gave HollowEyes a bit of a confidence boost.
Reaching deeper into one of his arm pouches, he pulled out what looked like a simple account book. However, on sight of it, the Fiends in close proximity to him instantly stopped what they were doing and flew back towards HollowEyes, clicking and sqwauking apologetically. As pissed off as they were with Net, there was no way they wanted to get on the wrong side of the Locust Spirit, and if HollowEyes wrote a message in that book it'd go straight to the top.
[Ignore Net. Time to eat.]
He pointed towards Goron, and the swarm shrieked with joy. This was the kind of order they loved, and even those angry with Net managed to be convinced that tearing chunks of flesh off someone they'd been told to do that to was a much better idea than having to deal with an angry Locust Spirit. The noise quitened down as quickly as it had picked up, the swarm eagerly awaiting the formal order before ripping this pitiful mortal to shreds. A lone shriek pierced through the silence, one that had often issued a death sentance to his victims by doing so.
[Kill Goron.]
The air was filled with Fiendish warcries as a they all began to swarm towards Goron, and only now HollowEyes noticed that a large shadow had appeared beneath him. One that wasn't being cause by the lava or the Locust Fiends as he had thought it was. He looked up to see a buick soaring majestically through the air, through the screeching Fiends. Well, an onlooker might have seen that - all HollowEyes saw was that he was about to be in a world of pain.
"Oh, that son of a-"
The lava shot off to one side, so as to avoid splashing on HollowEyes, as the buick slammed into his head. His horn was strong enough to take the brunt of the force, as were his still-petrified legs, but his body was not. Skidding backwards for a few seconds, he quickly stuck a few jellyfish charms to his body. The odd sensation of his bones disappearing was followed by an even more odd and perhaps painful sensation as his entire body wrapped around his head, causing the buick to simply roll over the top of him and smash into a nearby hospital.
Wobbling an awful lot as he picked himself up, HollowEyes removed all of the charms applied to himself. He was going about this all the wrong way, and playing to his enemies' strengths. None of his attacks had worked on Goron so far, and Net was looking pretty pitiful at the moment. Quickly calling a reluctant looking Locust Fiend over, HollowEyes began to form a new strategy.
[You. Stick these on Net.]
HollowEyes shoved a bunch of charms into the Locust Fiends arms. They were mostly fox charms, as Net preferred these, but there were also a couple of others in there as well. As the Fiend shot off, grumbling about the crappy job it was given, HollowEyes pulled out several more lava charms, adding to the size of the current amount of lava he had under his control. This amount would have been as big as a building if HollowEyes could hold it like that, but his inexperience with elements made such a feat impossible. He hopped over to the crater, lava swirling around him, as he began to look for Shaon, for he'd need her help for his next move. _________________ If I'm not here, I'm probably over at...

As Sekhmet made her way across the rooftops, she was surprised to feel the pain of her burns start to ease. She did not know the cause, but it certainly made the going easier. She speeds up, jumping between roofs and fences as she circles the area in search of that taunting voice.
Roll, clatter, thud. Sekhmet freezes at the sound, flattening her body against the roof tiles. Creeping to the edge, she cautiously looks over to see Whiteoak picking himself up off the ground, with no other creatures in sight.
Inexplicably, a kittenish feeling of playfulness washes over her. Hopping down onto the fence, she begins to sharpen her claws on the wood. With a sound somewhere between a purr and a snigger, she wonders just how Whiteoak had managed to injure himself without a foe to fight. "There is ssomething nearby, not one of uss. Perhaps we would fare better if we work together?" |

*Meanwhile, Net had been hiding inside a car on the scrap metal pile. He was currently trying to shoo off a rather mean locust that was trying to stick what was either one of HollowEye's charms or a 'Kick me' sign. Net wasn't sure which one was better after the whole 'Shark-boy' fiasco.*
***
Little Sister: ...What did you do?
HollowEyes: How was I supposed to know it stopped your lungs from working?!
Little Sister: So, think we'll be able to get his Elite spot?
HollowEyes: Worth a try.
Net: ...Gibber.
***
*After dodging the locust for the umpteenth time, Net had an idea. He'd place a metal slug within the barrel of the electron accelerator and fire it at the artificial sun, which would then shatter and shroud the arena in darkness. A few seconds later, a beam of white light burst out of the arena, heading towards Sol at an incredible speed.
As it turns out, the Arena wasn't as closed in as Net had originally thought. Net blinked back the overwhelming brightness and suddenly had yet another 'Oh poo-poo.' moment. By fireing that electron-infused rail at Sol, he'd caused aforementioned star to go haywire, which (knowing Net's luck) would probably result in our prized sun going supernova.*
((Now I know how Fort feels... Anywhoo, this should be fun!
The reason the beam didn't discipate was because the electrons attached themselves to the rod, which stopped most of the electrons from discipating untill it entered the vaccum, where they no longer had anywhere to go. When the electrons hit the sun, it acted like a giant spark causing the gas inside the sun to explode, thereby accelerating the sun's exaustion of it's resources and thereby inducing a practically inevitable supernova.)) _________________
Bah, Give me 2 days and a load of napalm...
Whiteoak was about to explain to Sekhmet about Raven and about the terrible fight he'd just had with the Targbeast, when the pendant about his neck glowed sparkles within his brain and images of something that somehow he knew was about to happen flooded his thinking. He saw something metallic racing towards the sun which then exploded into a supernova. This was the first time he had actually experienced the powers of the Diamond Heart of the Dojo and was a bit overwhelmed by it, but he firmly believed it to be real.
((In my items file you will find - Diamond Heart of the Dojo - The Relic of the Central Plains give's it's owner the powers of telepathy, telekinesis, and precognition.))
Popping into his mouth the Magick Crystal Jho'Lhak had given him as the match started, he, set to work fanatically fighting for all of their lives.
Leading the "target" like a marksman at a trap-shoot, he extended a Harmony and Balance Field skyward, casting into it as many electron absorbing "elements" as his "elemental" magik could produce. Suddenly he actually saw the shot from Net arcing skyward. The two intersected just before it reached the Sol. With his entire being, he attempted to capture the metal piece mentally and transform it into an equal quantity of salt, and exert a counter force of gravity pulling it backwards away from the Sol.
That was all he had, more than he had without the crystal, his face went pale and slack, his eyes rolled back in his head, and he collapsed on the ground in a limp faint. He smacked his head on the sidewalk and got another gash. He was now a real bloody mess. As he lost consciousness, he wasn't even sure if it had worked... _________________ Nobody knows where you are, how near or how far.

Goron smiled at the shurikens colliding with Net. That was the first attack he'd landed all day. His celebration ended quickly as HollowEyes regained control of the locust fiends, and proceeded to send them after him. He smile quickly disapeared as one of them took a large bite out of his right arm.
"Ouch! *happy spices*!"
He swatted the locust to the ground in time to be bitten in the leg by a second one. The yelling and cursing resumed, and as did the swinging of his sword. Locust were falling left and right, as were large chunks of skin.
~So this is how it ends? Eaten alive by giant bugs?~
"OW! Mayday, may- OUCH! Goron needs ass- F***!" Goron cursed into his headset while trying to defend himself, "HELP!"
He cut clean through the center of one to be bitten by another in the shoulder.
"IF I DIE, ALL OF THESE THINGS ARE COMING WITH ME!" Goron yelled as he smacked a particularly large locust a new breathing hole. _________________ ~Goron~

((RP LAG TIME!))
She noticed one of the golems crumble, as the tower she stood upon began to crumble.
Unfazed to the fact that she was currently falling, she was about to send another mental attack upon Jho'Lhak, twice as powerful, when she noticed something, heading straight towards her. A ball of energy. Telepathic energy. Who in their right minds sends a ball of energy at a goddess? The attack was quickly foiled by the fox, who quickly absorbed it, gaining a temporary boost of power.
Now minus any observation points, the fox finally gives into defying gravity, and began floating in the air, at a convenient point where she could observe the battle. By this time, Net had already attempted to blow up the sun and Goron, the nearest opponent, was being eaten alive by locust fiends.
Amused by his situation, the vixen tuned into his thoughts, floating towards the feast.
~So this is how it ends? Eaten alive by giant bugs?~
She replied, not bothering to disguise her distinctive echo,
~Locusts have needs too, you know.~ _________________ Shaon Galatea -- Artist | Musician | Radio DJ | Voice Actor | Writer |
